Gardner Cole – Live It Up (1988)

Gardner Cole has been creating pop masterpieces throughout his incredible career, including Madonna’s “Open Your Heart” and Jody Watley’s “Everything” and “Most of All.” All told, over 200 of his songs have been recorded on albums that have sold over 75 million copies. He has written for the likes of Tina Turner, Amy Grant & Tom Jones, he has contributed songs to such films as Grand Canyon, The Fugitive, and French Kiss, he has provided the score to numerous films. A master at a number of musical instruments, Cole also released two critically-acclaimed pop albums for Warner Bros. Records.
Gardner has been working professionally in the music industry solely since the age of 17. He’s performed with various bands, including as Drummer with the hit English group ABC and as Keyboardist with the hit Norwegian group A-HA!.

Gardner’s first album for Warner Bros , “Triangles” was released in 1988 and the first single released was “Live It Up” with backing vocals by Danny Sembello.

The US 12″ single release featured two remixes by Arthur Baker.
