Boomerang – When The Phone Stops Ringing (1986)

Boomerang were a US female trio consisting of Adriana Kaegi, Cheryl Poirier and Perri Lister who had previously been members of Kid Creole & The Coconuts and would release their own album as The Coconuts in 1983.

All three members of the band had interesting careers with Adriana and Cheryl adding vocals to U2’s War album in 1983 and Perri sang on Billy Idol’s “Eyes Without A Face” and the album “The Anvil” by Visage.

Boomerang released one self-titled album in 1986 and the first single released was the Holly Knight/Bernie Taupin penned “When The Phone Stops Ringing”, the track would be covered the following year by UK pop band Eighth Wonder.
