Jo Jo Zep – Losing Game (1983)


Joe Camilleri (aka Jo Jo Zep) is a veteran of the Australian music scene, initially with Jo Jo Zep & The Falcons who were active in the late 1970’s and early 1980’s and had several Australian chart hits including “Hit and Run”, “Shape I’m In” and “All I Wanna Do”.

The band were known for their energetic fusion of rock, reggae and blues.

The Falcons dissolved in 1981 and the group’s biggest Australian hit, 1982’s “Taxi Mary”, as well as the New Zealand top ten hit “Walk On By”, were both credited simply to Jo Jo Zep.

The Jo Jo Zep album, Cha, was released in October 1982 with the single “Taxi Mary” reaching No. 11 on the Australian singles chart.While their cover version of “Walk On By” peaked at No. 6 in New Zealand in June 1983.  Another Jo Jo Zep single, “Losing Game”, was issued in 1983, together with ex-Split Enz member, Eddie Rayner, Camilleri produced the single.

“Losing Game” was released in the US as a single and the A&M Promo 12″ single featured a remix by John “Jellybean” Benitez

  1. File is available again, Mediafire has suspended my account so I have lost all my uploads, I am scrambling to get new links up but it’s going to take some time, will post an update on the situation soon

    • Brilliant and thanks for responding so quickly.Very annoying about mediafire. Nature of the beast though I think. Keeping two weeks of files links active would be reasonable, I reckon.
