Luther Vandross ‎– She Won’t Talk To Me (1988)

Luther Ronzoni Vandross (April 20, 1951 – July 1, 2005) was an American singer-songwriter and record producer. During his career, Vandross sold over twenty-five million albums and won eight Grammy Awards including Best Male R&B Vocal Performance four times. He won four Grammy Awards in 2004 including the Grammy Award for Song of the Year for the track “Dance with My Father”,co-written with Richard Marx.

In 1988, Luther Vandross released his sixth studio album, titled “Any Love”. It reached the top position on the R&B Album charts that year for two weeks. At the 1989 Grammy Awards, the album was nominated for “Best R&B Vocal Performance, Male” and its title track was nominated for “Best R&B Song”. Also, “She Won’t Talk to Me” received a nomination for “Best R&B Vocal Performance, Male” in 1990.

“She Won’t Talk To Me” was written by Vandross and Hubert Eaves III (D-Train, Mtume), produced by Marcus Miller and remixed by Keith Cohen for the 12″ release.
