Bros – I Owe You Nothing (1987)

Bros were a British band active in the late 1980s and early 1990s, consisting of twin brothers Matt Goss and Luke Goss along with Craig Logan. Formed in 1986, they were managed by former Pet Shop Boys manager Tom Watkins.

Their first single, “I Owe You Nothing”, was released in 1987 on CBS Records and entered the UK charts at number 88 but was re-released following the success of their breakthrough single “When Will I Be Famous?”. The band never broke through in the USA but did make #10 on the Billboard dance chart.

The re-release peaked at #1 on the UK Singles Chart.

The Shep Pettibone remix was released on the CD compilation “Fantastic 80’s ! Extended” in 2006 but luckily the US Promo 12″ included a number of further Shep remixes yet to be re-released on any format.
