Collage – Romeo Where’s Juliet? (1985)

Collage were a Los Angeles-based disco/R&B group from the 1980’s. The name of the group was derived from the different ethnic backgrounds of the members. In the early to mid-1980’s they recorded for Solar where they worked with producer Nicholas Caldwell from The Whispers on the album ‘Do You Like Our Music?’ (including the songs Groovin’ and ‘When You Smile’) ‘Get In Touch’ (1983) and ‘Shine The Light’ (1985).

The “real” success, however, came with the release of “Romeo Where’s Juliet?” from the “Shine The Light” album, which was a moderate hit in the United Kingdom. The single reached number 46 on the British pop chart and number 49 on the US Billboard Hot Dance Club Songs chart.

Louil Silas Jr. performed remix duties on the 12″ single release.
