Belouis Some (born Neville Keighley,12 December 1959) is a British New Wave musician. He had hits in the 1980s with “Some People”, “Round Round”, (produced by Bernard Edwards, which appeared on the soundtrack album to the film Pretty in Pink), plus “Imagination” which also achieved success on the European and UK Singles Chart, and can be heard in the films Ghost Chase and The Business. “Some People” and “Imagination” also charted on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 in 1985.He had a large following in South Africa where he had three Top 20 hits.
“Imagination” reached #88 on the Billboard Hot 100 in May 1985, and was a top 20 hit in the UK, peaking at #17 on the UK Singles Chart in early 1986. The video was directed by Storm Thorgerson, causing controversy as it contained ‘full frontal’ nudity.
“Imagination” was remixed by Steve Thompson and Michael Barbiero for the 12″ single release.
